Make a Difference in Rehabilitation

As a Physical Therapist, you will play a crucial role in assessing patient needs, developing and implementing individualized treatment plans, and collaborating with other members of the healthcare team to achieve optimal patient outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• Patient Assessment and Treatment:
  • Conduct comprehensive patient evaluations, including assessments of strength, range of motion, balance, coordination, and functional mobility.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient goals and needs.
  • Administer therapeutic interventions, such as therapeutic exercises, manual therapy techniques, and modalities.
  • Educate patients and their families on treatment plans, home exercise routines, and assistive devices.
• Collaboration:
  • Collaborate effectively with physicians, nurses, occupational therapists, and other members of the healthcare team.
  • Participate in case conferences and team meetings to discuss patient care plans.
• Documentation:
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including evaluations, progress notes, and discharge summaries.
• Supervision:
  • Oversee the activities of physical therapy assistants, students, and other support personnel (as applicable).

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy (BPT) or Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited program.
• Licensure/Certification:
  • License to practice Physical Therapy in the State of Texas must be obtained prior to hire.
  • BLS certification required.
• Experience: No previous experience required, however, prior experience in a healthcare setting is preferred.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master's or Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy.
• 2 years of experience as a Physical Therapist.
