Physician Assistant – Abilene, TX

Position Overview:

As a Physician Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care under the supervision of a qualified physician. You will work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to assess, diagnose, and manage patient health.

Key Responsibilities:

• Patient Care:
  • Conduct comprehensive patient histories and physical examinations.
  • Diagnose and treat a variety of medical conditions.
  • Order and interpret diagnostic tests.
  • Prescribe medications and other treatments.
  • Provide patient education and counseling regarding their health conditions and treatment plans.
  • Perform minor procedures as permitted by state law and physician delegation.
  • Collaborate effectively with physicians, nurses, and other members of the healthcare team.
• Clinical Support:
  • Assist physicians in the management of patient care.
  • Participate in patient rounds and case conferences.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records.
  • Contribute to quality improvement initiatives.

Qualifications:

• Education:
  • Master's Degree in Physician Assistant Studies (PA) from an accredited program.
• Licensure/Certification:
  • Licensed as a Physician Assistant in the State of Texas.
  • BLS certification required.
• Experience:
  • Previous healthcare experience preferred.

Skills and Certifications:

• BSN, MSN, ANP, or PA licensed in the state of Texas (required)
• BLS (required)
