Virtus Healthcare Staffing is currently engaged in a search for a Clinical Director of Adult Medicine on behalf of our partner, a prominent regional health center network in the Greater Hartford, CT area. This leadership position is an exciting opportunity for a skilled medical professional who is passionate about providing high-quality care to underserved populations and driving the strategic goals of a large healthcare center.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the clinical operations of the Adult Medicine department, ensuring delivery of high-quality, efficient patient care.
- Provide direct patient care with a focus on treating underserved populations with complex healthcare needs.
- Lead recruitment, onboarding, retention, and disciplinary efforts for clinical providers and staff.
- Supervise advanced practitioners (APRNs, Clients) and ensure compliance with all clinical protocols and guidelines.
- Collaborate with the leadership team to set strategic goals, develop policies, and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
- Analyze and present data, making evidence-based decisions that align with department and organizational goals.
- Work closely with administrative staff, external partners, and stakeholders to ensure seamless coordination and communication.
- Support enterprise-level projects, offering value-added contributions to the overall success of the health center.
- Champion the use of electronic health record systems and other digital tools to optimize clinical workflows.
Required Qualifications:
- Graduation from an accredited medical school.
- Board Certification in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine.
- Demonstrated ability to provide quality patient care in a high-volume, resource-efficient environment.
- Prior experience working in a health center or private practice setting, particularly in a leadership role as Director or Associate Director.
- Proven experience with compliance, strategic planning, and team development.
- Expertise in recruiting, supervising, and supporting clinical staff, including advanced practitioners.
- Strong communication skills, capable of building productive relationships with both internal teams and external partners.
- Experience with EHR systems and data-driven decision-making.
- Demonstrated leadership in fostering a collaborative, quality-focused work environment.
