Physician – Internal Medicine (MD or DO)

Location: Carson, CA
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (includes home visits)
On-Call: Minimal, phone-only, rotating evenings/weekends

About the Role

Virtus Healthcare Staffing is seeking a mission-driven Physician – Internal Medicine (MD or DO) to join our valued partner at a medical facility in Carson, CA. This opportunity offers a refreshing alternative to traditional primary care. Here, you'll have the time and support to form deep, meaningful relationships with a smaller patient panel and focus on comprehensive, value-based care—particularly for Medicare and Medi-Cal participants.

Our care model empowers you to go beyond symptom management and deliver proactive, preventative, and holistic interventions. As part of a close-knit interdisciplinary team, you'll be directly involved in transforming senior and adult care in a setting where your impact is tangible and deeply appreciated.

Key Qualifications

• Medical Degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution

• Board Certification in Internal Medicine (or Family Medicine, Emergency Medicine, Geriatrics)

• California medical license (active or eligible)

• Eligibility to enroll with Medicare and Medi-Cal

• Passion for value-based, patient-first care

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Bilingual skills are a plus, but not required

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive primary care to a panel of adult and senior patients

• Conduct clinical visits both in-clinic and in-home (as needed)

• Collaborate closely with an interdisciplinary team (nurses, social workers, therapists)

• Coordinate chronic disease management, preventive screenings, and transitions of care

• Document accurately using an EMR and comply with quality measures

• Participate in rotational phone-based on-call support

Compensation & Benefits

• Sign-on bonus: $10,000

• Relocation support: Up to $50,000
