Physician – Adult Medicine

Location: Hartford, CT

Virtus Healthcare Staffing is seeking a dedicated Physician specializing in Adult Medicine to join our partner health group in Hartford, CT. This is a full-time opportunity for a board-certified physician to provide comprehensive care to a diverse patient population in a dynamic and fulfilling environment.

Provide Comprehensive Adult Medicine Care in a Community Setting

As an Adult Medicine Physician, you will deliver high-quality, patient-centered care, develop individualized treatment plans, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver high-quality, patient-centered care to adult patients in an outpatient setting.
• Conduct thorough medical histories, physical examinations, and diagnostic assessments.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, including medication management and lifestyle counseling.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive and coordinated care.
• Provide patient education on chronic disease management, preventive care, and health promotion.
• Maintain accurate and detailed medical records, adhering to established guidelines.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the overall success of the Adult Medicine department.

Qualifications:

• Graduate of an accredited school of medicine and possess Board Certification in Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, or Infectious Diseases.
• Possess a valid State of Connecticut licensure and have or be eligible to obtain DEA and state narcotic registration.

Preferred Qualifications:

• 3 years of experience working in an ambulatory setting or providing urgent care.
• Bilingual in Spanish and English.

• Comfortable using electronic health records and other computer systems.
• Resourceful problem-solving attitude and a strong sense of accountability.
• Willingness to perform other duties as assigned.
