Position Overview:
The Practice Manager plays a critical role in the successful operation of the medical clinic, ensuring efficient and high-quality patient care while maximizing operational efficiency. This position requires strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills, as well as a thorough understanding of healthcare operations and business principles.
Key Responsibilities:
Operational Leadership:
Oversee daily clinic operations, including scheduling appointments, managing patient flow, and coordinating staff schedules.
Supervise and mentor clinic staff, including medical assistants, receptionists, and other support personnel.
Ensure adherence to all clinic policies and procedures.
Financial Management:
Develop and manage the clinic budget, including monitoring expenses and identifying cost-saving opportunities.
Oversee billing and collections processes to ensure timely reimbursement.
Analyze financial data and prepare reports as needed.
Quality Improvement:
Implement and monitor quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient satisfaction and clinical outcomes.
Collect and analyze data to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations and accreditation standards.
Patient Satisfaction:
Address patient concerns and resolve issues promptly and professionally.
Foster a patient-centered environment that prioritizes excellent customer service.
Staff Training and Development:
Develop and conduct staff training programs on new procedures, policies, and best practices.
Maintain a positive and supportive work environment that encourages professional growth.
Qualifications:
Education:
Associate’s degree in business, health administration, or a related field.
Experience:
3-5 years of management experience in a healthcare setting, preferably in an outpatient or rural clinic setting.
Skills:
Strong team management, communication, scheduling, and financial oversight skills.
Familiarity with healthcare quality metrics, regulatory standards, and budget management.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in business administration, healthcare administration, or a related field.
Experience with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems.
Knowledge of CMS and AHCCCS insurance processes.
Certifications:
Must have or obtain Arizona DPS fingerprint clearance.
