Position Overview:

The Practice Manager plays a critical role in the successful operation of the medical clinic, ensuring efficient and high-quality patient care while maximizing operational efficiency. This position requires strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills, as well as a thorough understanding of healthcare operations and business principles.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operational Leadership:
    • Oversee daily clinic operations, including scheduling appointments, managing patient flow, and coordinating staff schedules.
    • Supervise and mentor clinic staff, including medical assistants, receptionists, and other support personnel.
    • Ensure adherence to all clinic policies and procedures.
  • Financial Management:
    • Develop and manage the clinic budget, including monitoring expenses and identifying cost-saving opportunities.
    • Oversee billing and collections processes to ensure timely reimbursement.
    • Analyze financial data and prepare reports as needed.
  • Quality Improvement:
    • Implement and monitor quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient satisfaction and clinical outcomes.
    • Collect and analyze data to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
    • Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations and accreditation standards.
  • Patient Satisfaction:
    • Address patient concerns and resolve issues promptly and professionally.
    • Foster a patient-centered environment that prioritizes excellent customer service.
  • Staff Training and Development:
    • Develop and conduct staff training programs on new procedures, policies, and best practices.
    • Maintain a positive and supportive work environment that encourages professional growth.

Qualifications:

  • Education:
    • Associate’s degree in business, health administration, or a related field.
  • Experience:
    • 3-5 years of management experience in a healthcare setting, preferably in an outpatient or rural clinic setting.
  • Skills:
    • Strong team management, communication, scheduling, and financial oversight skills.
    • Familiarity with healthcare quality metrics, regulatory standards, and budget management.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, healthcare administration, or a related field.
  • Experience with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems.
  • Knowledge of CMS and AHCCCS insurance processes.

Certifications:

  • Must have or obtain Arizona DPS fingerprint clearance.
