Virtus Healthcare Staffing is searching for a dedicated and skilled Radiology Technologist to join our partner, a leading medical center in Hood River, OR. As a Radiology Technologist, you will perform imaging examinations according to physicians' orders, utilizing a variety of sophisticated imaging equipment. Your role is crucial in producing optimal, high-quality images by applying your clinical knowledge and sound judgment for proper positioning and radiation dose calibration. You will be responsible for ensuring minimal radiation exposure to both the patient and yourself, adhering to ALARA (As Low As Reasonably Achievable) principles, and providing compassionate care.
Perform a variety of imaging examinations according to physician orders.
Utilize clinical knowledge to determine proper positioning, radiation dose, and technique to produce high-quality images.
Ensure all examinations are performed with minimal radiation exposure, adhering to ALARA awareness.
Take into account individual patients' unique and age-related needs during all procedures.
Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated and effective patient care.
Education:
Education to meet certification, license, or registration requirements.
Required Upon Hire:
An Oregon Radiographer License or an Oregon Radiographer Temporary License.
A National Provider BLS from the American Heart Association.
Note for New Graduates: Must have an OBMI temporary license and obtain a permanent license within 6 months of hire.
Required Within 6 Months (180 Days) of Hire:
National Certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
