Lead the Way in Dialysis Care
As Dialysis Nurse Manager, you will oversee the daily operations of the dialysis unit, ensuring the delivery of safe and effective dialysis treatments to all patients. You will lead and mentor a team of dedicated professionals, fostering a collaborative and supportive environment while maintaining the highest standards of care.
Responsibilities:
- Leadership and Management:
- Supervise and mentor a team of dialysis nurses and other healthcare professionals.
- Manage patient scheduling and staff assignments.
- Oversee the implementation of policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements.
- Patient Care:
- Provide direct patient care as needed, including assessing patient needs, administering medications, and monitoring dialysis treatments.
- Develop and implement standards of care that meet the needs of the patient population and comply with ESRD Network guidelines, regulatory agencies, and the QAPI program.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to provide holistic patient care.
- Quality and Risk Management:
- Coordinate the implementation of the company’s QAPI and risk management programs.
- Identify and address potential risks to patient safety and quality of care.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of patient care initiatives.
- Staff Development and Training:
- Plan and provide training and assessments for patient care staff.
- Foster a culture of continuous learning and professional development.
- Operational Efficiency:
- Work closely with the area operations director to identify and implement operational efficiencies.
- Manage resources effectively.
Qualifications:
- Education: Accredited nursing degree required (BSN, AA, RN).
- Experience:
- One (1) year of clinical nursing experience required.
- Supervisory experience required.
- One (1) year of dialysis experience preferred.
- Skills and Certifications:
- Current, unencumbered New Mexico RN license.
- BLS certification required.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
- Demonstrated clinical excellence and ability to provide direct patient care.
- Strong organizational, time management, and problem-solving abilities.
