Lead the Way in Labor & Delivery Nursing
As the Registered Nurse Director of Labor & Delivery, you will lead a dynamic team in a Level II Trauma Center, providing crucial care to mothers and newborns. You will oversee all aspects of the unit’s operations, ensuring a safe, efficient, and family-centered environment. This role requires strong leadership skills, clinical expertise, and a dedication to promoting excellence in obstetric care.
Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership and direction to the Labor & Delivery nursing team.
- Ensure the delivery of high-quality, patient-centered care to mothers and newborns.
- Oversee daily operations, staffing, and resource management.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to enhance patient safety and outcomes.
- Foster a positive and supportive work environment for the nursing staff.
- Collaborate with physicians, other departments, and hospital leadership to ensure optimal patient care.
- Promote continuous quality improvement initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree or approved education plan (Required).
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (Preferred).
- Master’s Degree (Preferred).
- Experience:
- 1 year of healthcare experience (Required).
- 1 year of leadership experience (Required).
- Licensure/Certification:
- Active Registered Nurse license in the state of Texas or compact license (Required).
- Compact license holders from other states must obtain a TX RN license within 6 months of hire.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (Required).
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification (Preferred).
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification (Preferred).
- Fetal Heart Monitoring (FHM) certification (Preferred).
- RNC-OB certification (Preferred).
