Provide Expert Electrophysiology Nursing Care in Scenic Alaska

As an Electrophysiology RN, you will provide comprehensive nursing care to patients undergoing a range of EP procedures, contributing to the diagnosis and treatment of complex cardiac arrhythmias.

Job Summary:

The Electrophysiology RN will provide comprehensive nursing care to patients undergoing a range of EP procedures, including cardiac ablations, pacemaker and defibrillator implants, and electrophysiology studies. This role requires close collaboration with a multidisciplinary team and a strong understanding of cardiac principles.

Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients undergoing electrophysiology procedures, such as cardiac ablations, pacemaker and defibrillator implants, and electrophysiology studies.
• Collaborate closely with electrophysiologists, cardiologists, and other healthcare professionals to deliver safe and effective patient care.
• Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms, hemodynamic parameters, and other vital signs during procedures.
• Administer medications and treatments as ordered by the physician.
• Educate patients and families about their conditions, procedures, and recovery process.
• Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of patient care and procedures.

Required Qualifications:

• Graduation from an accredited nursing program.
• Current Alaska Registered Nurse License (required upon hire).
• National Provider BLS – American Heart Association certification (required upon hire).
• One (1) year of nursing experience, preferably in a critical care or telemetry setting.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in electrophysiology or a related cardiac specialty.
• Certification in Progressive Care Certified Nurse (PCCN) or Critical Care Registered Nurse (CCRN).
• Strong knowledge of cardiac anatomy, physiology, and electrophysiology.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

Hours:

• Full Time (40 hours a week)
• Day Shift
