Provide Critical Care in a Fast-Paced Emergency Department
As an Emergency Services RN, you will provide comprehensive nursing care to a diverse patient population, ranging from geriatric to neonatal. You will collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans, responding effectively to a variety of emergency situations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in the Emergency Department, including assessment, triage, treatment, and monitoring.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Respond effectively to a variety of emergency situations, demonstrating critical thinking skills and clinical judgment.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, adhering to safety protocols and best practices.
- Monitor patients’ vital signs and condition, escalating concerns as needed.
- Document patient care accurately and thoroughly.
- Educate patients and families about their medical conditions and treatment plans.
- Maintain a safe and efficient work environment.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Education: Associate’s Degree in Nursing (ADN) required.
- Experience: Previous critical care experience preferred.
- License: Current Nevada RN license required.
- Certifications:
- American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) within 14 days upon hire.
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) within 30 days upon hire.
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) within 90 days upon hire or transfer.
- Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) within 6 months upon hire or transfer.
