Provide Critical Care in a Fast-Paced Emergency Department

As an Emergency Services RN, you will provide comprehensive nursing care to a diverse patient population, ranging from geriatric to neonatal. You will collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans, responding effectively to a variety of emergency situations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in the Emergency Department, including assessment, triage, treatment, and monitoring.
• Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Respond effectively to a variety of emergency situations, demonstrating critical thinking skills and clinical judgment.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, adhering to safety protocols and best practices.
• Monitor patients’ vital signs and condition, escalating concerns as needed.
• Document patient care accurately and thoroughly.
• Educate patients and families about their medical conditions and treatment plans.
• Maintain a safe and efficient work environment.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives.

Qualifications:

• Education: Associate’s Degree in Nursing (ADN) required.
• Experience: Previous critical care experience preferred.
• License: Current Nevada RN license required.
• Certifications:
  • American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) within 14 days upon hire.
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) within 30 days upon hire.
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) within 90 days upon hire or transfer.
  • Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) within 6 months upon hire or transfer.
