Join the Virtus Healthcare Staffing Team! We are currently seeking a compassionate and highly skilled Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Registered Nurse to join our partner, a leading healthcare facility in Tulsa, OK.

Provide Expert Care to Critically Ill Patients

As an ICU RN, you will play a critical role in providing expert care to critically ill patients. You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team, including physicians, respiratory therapists, and other healthcare professionals, to ensure the best possible outcomes for our patients.

Responsibilities:

• Patient Care:
  • Assess, monitor, and document patient conditions.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
  • Perform complex procedures, such as arterial punctures and central line care.
  • Provide comfort measures and emotional support to patients and their families.
• Teamwork:
  • Collaborate effectively with physicians, respiratory therapists, and other members of the healthcare team.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary rounds and contribute to patient care plans.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals.
• Quality Improvement:
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the enhancement of patient care.

Qualifications:

• Graduate of an accredited nursing school.
• Active and valid Oklahoma RN License.
• Current BLS certification.
• ACLS certification required within 90 days of hire.
• NIHSS certification required within 90 days of hire.
• At least one year of experience as a Registered Nurse.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
• Two (2) or more years of experience in an ICU setting.
• Experience with specific patient populations (e.g., neuro ICU, cardiac ICU).
• Advanced certifications (e.g., CCRN, CEN).
