Registered Nurse – Labor and Delivery

Full-Time, Day/Night Shift | Pomona, CA | Level II Trauma Center

Provide Expert Labor and Delivery Nursing Care

As a Labor and Delivery Nurse, you will provide comprehensive nursing care to laboring mothers and their newborns, ensuring their physical and emotional well-being throughout the birthing process.

Position Overview:

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to laboring mothers and their newborns.
• Assess, monitor, and support patients throughout the labor and delivery process.
• Administer medications and perform procedures as ordered by the physician.
• Educate patients and families on labor, delivery, and postpartum care.
• Collaborate effectively with the healthcare team.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care.
• Adhere to all safety and infection control protocols.

Responsibilities:

Assignment Details:

• Ratios: 1:2
• Years of Experience Required: 2 years
• First-Timers Accepted: Yes
• Weekend Requirement: 2 weekends every 6 weeks (night shift weekends can include Fridays).
• Required Certifications: BLS, AWHONN Advanced, NRP Advanced (must include all 11 components), Advanced Fetal Monitoring (AFM)
• On-Call Requirement: No
• Floating: No
• Block Schedule: No
• Locals Accepted: Yes
• Pending License Accepted: No
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours (client can cancel up to 3 shifts during the 13-week assignment)
• Special Requirements: Vaginal Exam Ability/Experience, Baby Care Ability/Experience, Experience with <100 Births to >300 Births.
• RTO Restrictions: Will accept 7 RTO days per 13-week assignment.
• Holiday Requests: Can request one holiday, but staff will most likely work holidays.
