Registered Nurse Manager – Pediatric Emergency Department

Lead the Way in Pediatric Emergency Care

As Nurse Manager of the Pediatric Emergency Department, you will lead and manage the nursing team in a dynamic and challenging environment. You will play a crucial role in fostering a collaborative and supportive environment while ensuring the highest quality of care for young patients.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide leadership, mentorship, and guidance to a team of nurses in the Pediatric Emergency Department.
  • Oversee daily operations, including staffing, scheduling, and resource allocation.
  • Ensure adherence to established protocols, policies, and procedures.
  • Promote a culture of safety, quality, and patient satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with physicians, interdisciplinary teams, and other departments to provide comprehensive care.
  • Champion continuous improvement initiatives and implement best practices in pediatric emergency care.
  • Foster a positive and supportive work environment that values teamwork and professional development.

Qualifications:

  • Licensure/Certification:
    • Current Registered Nurse (RN) license or active Compact license in Texas (Required).
    • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (Required).
    • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification (Required).
    • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification (Required within 90 days of hire).
    • Certified Pediatric Nurse (CPN) (Preferred).
  • Education:
    • Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN) (Required).
    • Master’s degree in Nursing (MSN) (Preferred).
  • Experience:
    • 1 years of experience in a healthcare setting (Required).
    • 1 years of experience in a leadership role (Preferred).
