Lead the Way in Nursing Excellence

As a Nurse Manager, you will be responsible for the overall leadership and management of a designated patient care area, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, patient-centered care. This role requires strong leadership, clinical expertise, and a commitment to continuous improvement.

Responsibilities:

  • Leadership & Management:
    • Oversee daily operations, including staffing, scheduling, and resource allocation.
    • Develop and implement strategies to enhance patient care quality, efficiency, and staff satisfaction.
    • Manage budgets and monitor expenses.
    • Lead and mentor a high-performing team.
    • Foster a positive and supportive work environment.
  • Patient Care:
    • Ensure the delivery of safe, high-quality, and patient-centered care.
    • Promote the use of evidence-based practices and clinical pathways.
    • Advocate for patient rights and ensure patient safety.
  • Quality Improvement:
    • Participate in and lead quality improvement initiatives.
    • Analyze data, identify trends, and implement corrective actions.
    • Ensure compliance with all regulatory and accreditation standards.
  • Staff Development:
    • Plan, implement, and evaluate staff education and training programs.
    • Support professional growth and development of nursing staff.
  • Communication & Collaboration:
    • Effectively communicate with physicians, other departments, and hospital leadership.
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required; Master's Degree in Nursing (MSN) or related field preferred.
  • Experience:
    • 2 years of recent Acute Care RN leadership experience required.
    • Candidates with progressive leadership experience will be highly regarded.
  • Licensure/Certification:
    • Prior experience in a Magnet or Pathways-designated facility is highly preferred.
    • Texas State RN license or compact license is accepted.
    • National Specialty Certification (e.g., RNC-MNN, RNC-OB) preferred.
    • BLS/ACLS certification required.
