Lead the Way in Nursing Excellence
As a Nurse Manager, you will be responsible for the overall leadership and management of a designated patient care area, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, patient-centered care. This role requires strong leadership, clinical expertise, and a commitment to continuous improvement.
Responsibilities:
- Leadership & Management:
- Oversee daily operations, including staffing, scheduling, and resource allocation.
- Develop and implement strategies to enhance patient care quality, efficiency, and staff satisfaction.
- Manage budgets and monitor expenses.
- Lead and mentor a high-performing team.
- Foster a positive and supportive work environment.
- Patient Care:
- Ensure the delivery of safe, high-quality, and patient-centered care.
- Promote the use of evidence-based practices and clinical pathways.
- Advocate for patient rights and ensure patient safety.
- Quality Improvement:
- Participate in and lead quality improvement initiatives.
- Analyze data, identify trends, and implement corrective actions.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory and accreditation standards.
- Staff Development:
- Plan, implement, and evaluate staff education and training programs.
- Support professional growth and development of nursing staff.
- Communication & Collaboration:
- Effectively communicate with physicians, other departments, and hospital leadership.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required; Master's Degree in Nursing (MSN) or related field preferred.
- Experience:
- 2 years of recent Acute Care RN leadership experience required.
- Candidates with progressive leadership experience will be highly regarded.
- Licensure/Certification:
- Prior experience in a Magnet or Pathways-designated facility is highly preferred.
- Texas State RN license or compact license is accepted.
- National Specialty Certification (e.g., RNC-MNN, RNC-OB) preferred.
- BLS/ACLS certification required.
