Lead the Way in Emergency Nursing

As Director of Emergency Services, you will lead and manage a dynamic team of nurses and support staff in a fast-paced and challenging environment. You will oversee the department's operations, ensuring the efficient and effective delivery of emergency care while fostering a culture of collaboration and excellence.

Responsibilities:

• Provide strategic direction and oversight for the Emergency Services department.
• Foster a culture of collaboration, excellence, and patient-centered care.
• Mentor and develop nursing staff, promoting professional growth and job satisfaction.
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and quality standards.
• Optimize departmental workflows and processes to enhance efficiency and patient flow.
• Manage resources effectively and contribute to budget planning.
• Collaborate with physicians, hospital leadership, and other departments to achieve organizational goals.
• Champion innovation and best practices in emergency nursing.

Qualifications:

• Licensure/Certification:
  • Registered Nurse in the Commonwealth of Virginia (Required).
  • Licensure in compact states accepted (based on Virginia Board of Nursing guidelines).
  • BLS, ACLS, and PALS (Required).
• Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing from an accredited school of nursing (Required).
• Experience:
  • 4 years of recent experience in an acute ER unit (Required).
  • 2 years of charge nurse or supervisory experience in an ER unit (Required).

Preferred Qualifications:

• MSN, MSHA, MBA, or related field.
