Full-Time, Day Shift (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM) | Temple, TX

Provide Comfort and Support to Patients in Need
As a Med-Surg/Palliative Registered Nurse, you will play a vital role in assessing patient needs, developing and implementing individualized care plans, and collaborating with the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient comfort and well-being.
Responsibilities:
- Provide Direct Patient Care:
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including vital signs, physical examinations, and pain assessments.
- Administer medications and treatments as ordered.
- Monitor patient condition closely, including pain levels, respiratory status, and emotional well-being.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans that address the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of patients and their families.
- Provide emotional and spiritual support to patients and their families during end-of-life care.
- Collaborate with the Healthcare Team:
- Communicate effectively with physicians, other nurses, and members of the interdisciplinary team.
- Participate in care conferences and family meetings to discuss patient care plans and address end-of-life concerns.
- Maintain a Safe Environment:
- Adhere to all hospital policies, procedures, and safety protocols.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients.
Qualifications:
- Education: Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing (Diploma, AD, BSN).
- Licensure/Certification:
- Registered Nurse licensed by the Texas Board of Nursing.
- BLS certification required (should not initiate patient contact until completed).
- Skills:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Compassion and empathy for patients and their families.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
