Virtus Healthcare Staffing is seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our partner medical facility's Medical Surgical unit in Seattle, WA. This position offers an excellent opportunity to provide comprehensive care to a diverse adult patient population in a dynamic and supportive environment within a leading Level I Trauma Center.
Provide Expert Care in a Fast-Paced Medical Surgical Unit
As a Medical Surgical RN, you will deliver high-quality nursing care to adult patients with a variety of medical and surgical needs. You will perform thorough assessments, develop individualized care plans, and collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes in a large, high-level medical facility known for advanced care.
Responsibilities:
- Patient Care: Deliver high-quality nursing care to adult patients with a variety of medical and surgical needs.
- Assessment and Planning: Perform thorough assessments, identify appropriate nursing diagnoses, develop individualized care plans, and implement evidence-based nursing interventions.
- Treatment and Monitoring: Administer medications and treatments, closely monitor patient response, and document accurately.
- Patient Advocacy: Effectively advocate for ethical and holistic care by partnering in care planning to promote the autonomy, dignity, rights, values, and beliefs of patients.
- Education: Educate patients and their families on their conditions, treatment plans, and self-care strategies.
- Collaboration: Work collaboratively with the interdisciplinary team, including physicians, pharmacists, and therapists, to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Safety: Maintain a safe and therapeutic environment for patients and staff.
- Professional Development: Engage in ongoing professional development and maintain current knowledge of essential competencies.
Qualifications:
- Education: Graduation from an accredited nursing program.
- Licensure: Washington Registered Nurse License upon hire.
- Certifications: National Provider BLS – American Heart Association certification upon hire.
- Experience: 1 year of Med/Surg nursing experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
- National Certification in Medical-Surgical Nursing.
