Provide Expert Care in a Specialized Neuro Telemetry Unit

As an RN in the 32-bed Neuro Telemetry unit, you will provide comprehensive nursing care to patients with neurological conditions. You will utilize your clinical expertise to assess, diagnose, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care, ensuring optimal outcomes and patient satisfaction.

Unit Details:

• 32-bed Neuro Telemetry unit specializing in neurological conditions.
• Nurses possess strong clinical skills and knowledge related to neurological disorders.
• Management of complex cases, often involving continuous telemetry monitoring.
• Focus on delivering high-quality, patient-centered care.
• Collaboration with the interdisciplinary team to achieve optimal patient outcomes.

Responsibilities (include, but are not limited to):

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in the neuro telemetry unit, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, including IV therapy, wound care, and other procedures.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team (physicians, therapists, case managers, etc.) to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Monitor patients' vital signs and telemetry readings, responding appropriately to changes in condition, recognizing and escalating critical situations.
• Educate patients and families about their care, treatment options, disease management, and discharge planning.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic health record, ensuring clear communication among the healthcare team.
• Adhere to safety and infection control protocols, promoting a safe environment for patients and staff.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement.
• Provide compassionate and patient-centered care, addressing the physical, emotional, and psychosocial needs of patients and their families.
• Prioritize patient safety and advocate for their well-being.

Required Qualifications:

• Graduation from an accredited nursing program.
• Upon Hire: Washington Registered Nurse License.
• Upon Hire: National Provider BLS – American Heart Association.
• Within 90 days of hire: National Provider ACLS – American Heart Association.
• Within 90 days of hire: National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale Certificate – NIH Stroke Scale Training Course.
• One (1) year of nursing experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Upon hire: National Certification in the area of specialty, unless otherwise indicated.
