Virtus Healthcare Staffing is seeking experienced and compassionate Registered Nurses to join our partner, a leading medical center in Everett, WA, specializing in Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) care. This is an exceptional opportunity to provide specialized care to critically ill newborns and their families.
Provide Expert Care to Critically Ill Newborns
As a NICU RN, you will provide comprehensive nursing care to critically ill newborns, utilizing your clinical expertise to assess, diagnose, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care. You will play a vital role in supporting families during challenging times, ensuring compassionate and family-centered care.
Responsibilities (include, but are not limited to):
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to critically ill newborns in the NICU.
- Assess, diagnose, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, including IV therapy and specialized procedures.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Monitor patients' vital signs and respond to changes in condition.
- Provide specialized care, such as managing ventilators and caring for central lines.
- Educate and support parents and families.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation.
- Adhere to safety and infection control protocols.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives.
- Advocate for the needs of newborns and their families.
Required Qualifications:
- Graduation from an accredited nursing program.
- Upon Hire: Washington Registered Nurse License.
- Upon Hire: National Provider BLS – American Heart Association.
- Upon Hire: National Provider NRP – American Academy of Pediatrics.
- One (1) year of nursing experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Upon hire: National Certification in the area of specialty.
