Join the Virtus Healthcare Staffing Team! We are currently seeking a compassionate and highly skilled Registered Nurse for a Cardiac Progressive Care Unit (PCU) to join our partner, a leading healthcare facility in Albuquerque, NM.

Provide Specialized Cardiac Care

As a Cardiac PCU RN, you will play a critical role in providing specialized care to patients with various cardiac conditions. You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team, including cardiologists, other nurses, and healthcare professionals, to provide comprehensive care and support to patients recovering from cardiac procedures or managing chronic heart conditions.

Responsibilities:

• Patient Care:
  • Assess, monitor, and document patient conditions, including vital signs, cardiac rhythms, and hemodynamic status.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
  • Monitor and interpret telemetry readings.
  • Provide education and support to patients and their families.
  • Perform procedures such as EKGs, obtaining blood samples, and assisting with bedside procedures.
  • Collaborate effectively with the healthcare team.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary rounds and contribute to care plans.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives.

Qualifications:

• Education: Associate's Degree or Diploma in Nursing.
• Licensure/Certification:
  • Valid NM Nursing License or NM compact license (within 90 days of hire).
  • BLS Certification.
  • ACLS Certification (may be required).

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing.
• Two (2) years of experience in a Cardiac PCU or related setting.
