Registered Nurse – Service Unit Manager

Lead a team of healthcare professionals and ensure exceptional patient care in a dynamic ambulatory setting! We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Registered Nurse to join our partner, a leading healthcare facility in Santa Rosa, California, as a Service Unit Manager.
Lead and Manage Ambulatory Nursing Services
In this role, you will lead and manage a large unit or multiple units providing ambulatory services, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, patient-focused care. You will supervise and mentor staff, ensure compliance with regulations, and promote a patient-centered approach.
Responsibilities:
- Leadership and Management: Oversee daily operations, supervise and mentor staff, ensure regulatory compliance.
- Patient Care: Collaborate with physicians, act as a patient advocate, promote patient-centered care.
- Quality Improvement: Design and evaluate processes, implement cost-reduction and quality-enhancement strategies.
- Financial Management: Develop and monitor budgets, identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Staff Development: Determine staffing levels, implement hiring and training processes, provide ongoing staff development.
- Human Resources and Risk Management: Manage HR issues, ensure safety protocols, minimize risks.
- Policy and Procedure Development: Develop and monitor departmental policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
- Education:
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
- Bachelor's degree in nursing or a health-related field required.
- Experience:
- Minimum of five (5) years of nursing experience in management/leadership roles.
- Minimum of five (5) years of supervisory experience.
- Licenses and Certifications:
- Current California Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- PALS, PEARS, and/or ACLS certifications may be required for specific departments.
- Skills and Knowledge:
- In-depth knowledge of the Nurse Practice Act, The Joint Commission standards, and other regulations.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a Labor/Management Partnership environment.
- Preferred Qualifications:
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience in an outpatient care setting.
- Clinical specialization in a relevant area of practice.
- Master's degree in nursing or a related field.
