Virtus Healthcare Staffing is seeking experienced and dedicated Registered Nurses to join our partner, a leading medical center in Everett, WA, specializing in Thoracic Vascular Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU) care. This is an exceptional opportunity to provide complex and specialized care to patients in a fast-paced environment.
Provide Expert Care in a Specialized IMCU
As an RN in the Thoracic Vascular IMCU, you will provide comprehensive nursing care to patients with thoracic and vascular conditions. You will utilize your clinical expertise to assess, diagnose, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care, ensuring optimal outcomes and patient satisfaction.
Responsibilities (include, but are not limited to):
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients with thoracic and vascular conditions in the Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU).
- Assess, diagnose, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Monitor patients' vital signs and respond appropriately to changes in condition.
- Educate patients and families about their care, treatment options, and disease management.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic health record.
- Adhere to all safety and infection control protocols.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and professional development activities.
- Provide compassionate and patient-centered care.
Required Qualifications:
- Graduation from an accredited nursing program.
- Upon Hire: Washington Registered Nurse License.
- Upon Hire: National Provider BLS – American Heart Association.
- Within 90 days of hire: National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale Certificate – NIH Stroke Scale Training Course.
- One (1) year of nursing experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Upon hire: National Certification in the area of specialty.
