Virtus Healthcare Staffing is seeking an experienced Registered Respiratory Therapist on behalf of our partner, a well-established community acute care hospital in Winchester, KY. This role is crucial in providing critical respiratory care services within a 25-bed critical access hospital.

Deliver Vital Respiratory Care Services

As a Registered Respiratory Therapist, you will provide comprehensive respiratory therapy services, collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team, and perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures. You will monitor and assess patients' respiratory status, implement necessary interventions, and educate patients and families on respiratory care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive respiratory therapy services.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
• Perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
• Monitor and assess patients' respiratory status.

Minimum Education:

• Required: Kentucky Board of Respiratory Care License.
• Preferred: Graduate of a CRT or RRT Program.
• Preferred: Bachelor's degree in Respiratory Therapy or a related field.

Required Skills:

• Critical thinking skills with the ability to make quick, informed decisions.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong judgment and problem-solving abilities in high-stress situations.

Certifications:

• Basic Life Support (BLS): Must be obtained within 60 days of hire.
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS): Must be obtained within 60 days of hire.
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS): Must be obtained within 60 days of hire.
• Neonatal Resuscitation Provider (NRP): Must obtain within 90 days of hire.
• Kentucky Board of Respiratory Care License: Required.
