Respiratory Care Practitioner – Respiratory Therapy

Location: Richland, WA

Virtus Healthcare Staffing is seeking dedicated Respiratory Care Practitioners (RCPs) to join our partner medical facility in Richland, WA. We have openings for both RCPs and Senior RCPs, offering exciting opportunities to provide essential respiratory care services to patients in a dynamic and supportive environment.

Available Positions:

• Respiratory Care Practitioner: Full-time, 0.9 FTE (36 hours per week), variable shift.
• Senior Respiratory Care Practitioner: Full-time, 0.9 FTE (36 hours per week), variable shift.

Responsibilities:

• Assess, treat, and manage patients with respiratory illnesses and conditions.
• Administer respiratory therapy treatments and medications, such as oxygen therapy, bronchodilator therapy, airway management, and mechanical ventilation.
• Monitor patients’ respiratory status, including vital signs, oxygen saturation levels, and lung function tests.
• Educate patients and their families on respiratory conditions, treatments, and self-care techniques.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement comprehensive care plans.

Qualifications:

For Respiratory Care Practitioner:

• Required:
  • Graduation from an accredited school of Respiratory Therapy.
  • Washington Respiratory Care Practitioner License upon hire.
  • National Provider BLS – American Heart Association certification upon hire.
  • National Provider ACLS – American Heart Association certification within 90 days of hire.
  • National Provider PALS – American Heart Association certification within 90 days of hire.
• Preferred:
  • Bachelor’s degree in respiratory therapy from an accredited educational institution.
  • Additional specialty certification upon hire.
  • 1 year of experience as a Respiratory Care Practitioner in an acute care medical setting.

For Senior Respiratory Care Practitioner:

• Required:
  • Graduation from an accredited school of Respiratory Therapy.
  • Washington Respiratory Care Practitioner License upon hire.
  • National Provider BLS – American Heart Association certification upon hire.
  • National Provider ACLS – American Heart Association certification within 90 days of hire.
  • National Provider PALS – American Heart Association certification within 90 days of hire.
  • 2 years of experience as a Respiratory Care Practitioner in an acute care medical setting.
• Preferred:
  • Bachelor’s degree in respiratory therapy from an accredited educational institution.
  • Recent NICU, adult CCU, and open-heart experience.
