Virtus Healthcare Staffing is actively engaged in a search for an experienced Respiratory Therapist on behalf of our partner, a prestigious Level I Trauma center located in Burlington, VT. Deliver Critical Respiratory Care in a Level I Trauma Center

As a Respiratory Therapist, you will be responsible for providing a full range of respiratory care services to patients with diverse needs. You will collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to deliver optimal care in a dynamic and challenging setting.

Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive respiratory therapy services following established protocols and guidelines.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team to deliver optimal patient care.
• Perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures related to respiratory care.
• Monitor and assess patients' respiratory status and implement necessary interventions.
• Educate patients and families on respiratory care and management.

Qualifications:

• Education: Graduate of an AMA-approved program for Respiratory Care.
• Licensure: Must be licensed as a Respiratory Care Practitioner in the state of Vermont before the start date.
• Certification:
  • New graduates must obtain Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) status from the NBRC within one year of hire.
  • Seasoned therapists must already possess RRT status.
  • Current ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications are required.

Shift Differentials:

• $2.75 for Evening shifts.
• $3.50 for Weekend Day shifts.
• $6.50 for Night shifts.
• $6.25 for Weekend Evening shifts.
• $10.00 for Weekend Night shifts.

Work Schedule:

• Standard shifts are 3×12 hours.
• The facility can accommodate 5×8-hour shifts on the evening shift (3:00 PM – 11:30 PM).
• Alternatively, a flexible schedule of 5 shifts one week and 4 shifts the next, totaling 72 hours per pay period, is available.
• Every other weekend work is required.
