As Section Chief of Pediatric Emergency Medicine, you will guide a team of dedicated professionals, drive innovation, and shape the future of pediatric emergency care. This 189-bed facility, founded in 1875, is a Level I Pediatric Trauma Center offering a wide range of specialties, surgical services, a Level IV Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, and a pediatric burn center.
Responsibilities:
Leadership: Provide strategic direction and leadership to the Pediatric Emergency Medicine team.
Clinical Expertise: Oversee and participate in the evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment of pediatric patients with a wide range of medical emergencies.
Education: Engage in teaching and mentorship activities for residents, fellows, and medical students.
Research: Foster and support research initiatives within the department.
Operational Management: Oversee the daily operations of the department, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to quality standards.
Qualifications:
Required:
MD or DO degree.
Board certified or board eligible in Pediatric Emergency Medicine.
Demonstrated leadership experience in a healthcare setting.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong commitment to providing high-quality, patient-centered care.
