Virtus Healthcare Staffing is seeking a skilled Sonographer to join a dedicated team at a leading Level I Trauma Center in Burlington, Vermont. This role provides an opportunity to deliver high-quality imaging services, contributing to the diagnosis and treatment of patients in a fast-paced environment.

Provide Expert Ultrasound Imaging Services

As a Sonographer, you will perform diagnostic imaging procedures, including abdominal, OB/GYN, and other specialty ultrasounds. You will ensure accurate and complete documentation, collaborate with the healthcare team, and maintain patient comfort throughout procedures.

Essential Job Duties:

• Perform diagnostic imaging procedures, including abdominal, OB/GYN, and other specialty ultrasounds.
• Prepare and maintain equipment, ensuring proper calibration and readiness for use.
• Review and assess images to ensure accurate and complete documentation.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure comprehensive patient care and timely reporting of results.
• Communicate with patients to explain the procedure and ensure patient comfort.
• Maintain patient records and document all findings in compliance with standards.

Job Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Graduate of a CAAHEP accredited school in Diagnostic Medical Sonography, Radiologic Technology, or a two-year allied health program.
• ARDMS registration with ABD or OB/GYN credential.
• A minimum of two years of paid scanning experience.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work well in a team-oriented environment.
• Ability to follow safety protocols and maintain patient confidentiality.
