Virtus Healthcare Staffing is supporting the recruitment efforts for an open Ultrasound Sonographer – RDMS (AB) or OB/GYN position at a leading academic medical center in Burlington, VT. This is a full-time NIGHT SHIFT position with a schedule of 5×8-hour shifts per week. Requirements:

• Education:

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • Graduate of a CAAHEP-accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography program, Radiologic Technology program, or equivalent two-year allied health program

• Certification:

  • ARDMS registration with ABD (Abdominal) or OB/GYN credential required

• Experience:

  • 1–5 years of paid ultrasound scanning experience preferred

  • Open to experienced sonographers with additional training in advanced modalities

• Strong technical and diagnostic skills to perform customized examinations based on patient presentation and clinical indications

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform routine and complex diagnostic ultrasound imaging procedures independently with physician oversight as needed

• Customize each examination to patient anatomy and clinical indications, adjusting techniques to ensure optimal image quality

• Collaborate with physicians and radiology staff to ensure accurate and efficient diagnosis

• Recognize and document pathological findings while maintaining patient comfort and safety

• Maintain technical competency and participate in ongoing education to stay current in sonography practices
