Ultrasound Technologist – Maternal Fetal

Location: Orange, CA

Virtus Healthcare Staffing is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Ultrasound Technologist specializing in Maternal-Fetal medicine to join our partner hospital in Orange, CA. This is a full-time, day shift position that offers an exciting opportunity to work with a leading healthcare provider in a rewarding and challenging environment.

Responsibilities:

• Perform a variety of diagnostic ultrasounds, focusing on high-risk fetal echocardiography and anomaly scans.
• Utilize sophisticated ultrasound equipment to obtain high-quality images, taking into account individual patient needs and potential complications.
• Work independently and collaboratively with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate diagnoses and optimal patient care.
• Provide clear explanations of procedures to patients, addressing their questions and concerns, and ensuring their comfort throughout the examination.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation, adhering to confidentiality and privacy regulations.
• Contribute to a positive and supportive work environment, assisting in the mentorship and education of staff as needed.

Qualifications:

• Experience: 1 year of experience as an Ultrasound Technologist, with neonatal experience required.
• Certifications:
  • ARDMS FE (Fetal Echocardiography)
  • ARDMS OB/GYN
  • BLS (Basic Life Support)
  • NT (Nuchal Translucency)

Essential Skills:

• Comprehensive Fetal Echo Experience: Must have extensive experience performing fetal echocardiograms, with a strong emphasis on cardiac anomalies.
• High-Risk Pregnancy Expertise: Familiarity with high-risk fetal echo protocols and the ability to perform detailed anomaly scans.
• Advanced Technical Skills: Proficiency in operating ultrasound equipment and utilizing various imaging techniques to obtain optimal images.
• Patient-Centered Approach: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to provide compassionate care and support to patients and their families.

Schedule:

• Full-time, 5×8 days
• January start
• No call or weekend requirements

Additional Information:

• First-time travelers are welcome.
• 70% of the population is fetal anomalies with a strong emphasis on cardiac anomalies.
• Exams are incredibly high risk and range in length from 60-90 minutes.
• COVID-19 Vaccine: Required (Medical/Religious Exemptions Only)
