Your Role as a Vascular Technologist:
- Perform Vascular Studies: Conduct a variety of non-invasive vascular examinations using ultrasound technology, including arterial and venous duplex imaging, carotid duplex, abdominal vascular, and physiologic arterial testing.
- Patient Care: Interact with patients compassionately, explaining procedures and addressing concerns to ensure a comfortable and informed experience.
- Data Analysis: Analyze and interpret ultrasound images, accurately documenting findings in the patient’s medical record.
- Collaboration: Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
- Quality Assurance: Maintain high standards of quality control and participate in ongoing training and education to stay current with advancements in vascular technology.
Qualifications:
- Education: Associate degree in vascular technology or equivalent experience.
- Licenses/Certifications:
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Provider certification through the American Heart Association or client.
- Registered Vascular Sonographer (RVS) certification through Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) OR Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) certification through the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS).
