Vice President – Quality Risk Management

Virtus Healthcare Staffing is actively searching for a highly qualified Vice President – Quality Risk Management on behalf of our esteemed partner, a leading acute care medical center in Tallahassee, FL. This leadership role oversees the Quality Department and Medical Staff Services, aligning strategic goals with quality care standards and financial stability objectives.

As the VP of Quality Risk Management, you will spearhead the planning, management, integration, and coordination of quality-focused initiatives across multiple domains. These include Infection Control, Joint Commission, CMS compliance, Core Measure Abstraction, Medical Staff peer review, and quality oversight. The role also involves driving performance improvement and comprehensive quality management across the facility. The VP will work closely with executive teams, ensuring that high-quality, cost-effective patient care is delivered, guided by the facility’s strategic goals and objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the Quality Department and Medical Staff Services in line with facility-wide goals.
• Oversee Infection Control, CMS compliance, Joint Commission standards, Core Measure Abstraction, and Medical Staff quality review processes.
• Support quality and performance improvement initiatives, ensuring effective quality oversight throughout the organization.
• Facilitate and enhance the delivery of high-quality, cost-effective patient care.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree required; Master’s Degree preferred.
• Certified Professional Healthcare Quality (CPHQ) certification required within 12 months of hire.
• Preference for candidates with an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) or Registered Nurse (RN) background.
• A minimum of 3-5 years of hospital quality leadership experience is strongly preferred.
