A group of Medicare Administrative Contractors (MACs) have approved coverage of Cleerly's AI-enabled quantitative coronary topography scans for Medicare recipients with symptoms of coronary artery disease (CAD).
MACs provide coverage for 34 million Medicare beneficiaries, Cleerly said. The policy will go into effect on November 24 in the Palmetto GBA, CGS Administrators, National Government Services, and WPS administrative groups and will cover Cleerly's Cleerly Labs plaque analysis for patients with acute or stable chest pain with no known CAD, and CAD-RADS 1 to 3, according to the firm.
