Dear AuntMinnie Member,
This past week we've covered not one, not two, but three conferences, bringing readers a bounty of stories on new research and imaging trends. We started with the American Institute of Ultrasound in Medicine (AIUM) meeting in Philadelphia, before moving on to the Society of Nuclear Medicine and Molecular Imaging (SNMMI) in Los Angeles and to the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) conference held in Chicago. Click the links above to peruse our complete coverage of these meetings.
Speaking of SNMMI, our two top-clicked stories of the week came from that gathering: the Image of the Year -- a novel PET radiotracer image of deep vein thrombosis in the legs -- and an interview with Jeremie Calais, MD, of the University of California, Los Angeles, who discussed the current state of the field of theranostics and its future. Third on the list was an article from ASCO 2026 about AI and lung cancer screening, while fourth and fifth included coverage of a study on using image-guided focal laser ablation for prostate cancer and another on how interactive multimedia reporting can save radiologists time.
