Virtus Healthcare Staffing is supporting the recruitment efforts for an open Director of Surgical Operations position at a leading hospital-based surgical services department in San Antonio, TX. This full-time leadership role offers the opportunity to oversee surgical operations across one to two departments on a 24-hour basis and may qualify for a sign-on bonus.

Requirements:

• Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing required

  • Master's degree in Nursing, Business, or a related field preferred

• Licensure & Certification:

  • Active Texas RN license required

  • Specialty or administration certification preferred

  • Active BLS certification through ARC or AHA (AHA required within 60 days of hire)

• Experience:

  • Minimum 5 years of clinical experience in surgical services or related discipline

  • 3–5 years of progressively responsible management experience strongly preferred

• Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills to drive operational excellence and quality outcomes
