HOPPR signs imaging AI vets Boonn, Kim

Imaging AI software developer HOPPR has added Woojin Kim, MD, and William Boonn, MD, to its executive lineup.

Kim will serve as chief strategy officer and chief medical information officer (CMIO), while Boonn will take on the role of chief medical officer (CMO), according to Founder, CEO, and Chairman Khan Siddiqui, MD.

A musculoskeletal radiologist, imaging informaticist, and entrepreneur, Kim comes to HOPPR after serving most recently as chief medical information officer (CMIO) at Rad AI. Prior to that post, Kim was CMIO at Equium Intelligence (before its acquisition by Rad AI) and also CMIO at Nuance Communications, as well as co-founder and director of innovation at Montage Healthcare Solutions, which was purchased by Nuance in 2016. He is also currently the chief medical officer of the American College of Radiology Data Science Institute.

Boonn is a practicing cardiovascular radiologist at Penn Medicine in Philadelphia and former CMO at Rad AI. He was CEO and co-founder of Equium Intelligence and CMIO at Nuance Communications. In addition, Boonn was president and CEO of Montage Healthcare Solutions.

Kim, Boonn, and Siddiqui were all imaging informatics fellows at the University of Maryland Medical Center.

“We’ve been through some incredible journeys together, and seeing them step into these key roles at HOPPR feels like the band’s back together!” said Siddiqui in a LinkedIn post.
