Summary:

Virtus Healthcare Staffing is partnering with a leading hospital in Marquette, MI, to find an experienced and passionate Clinical Director for their Obstetrics (OB) and Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) departments. This is a full-time opportunity for a dedicated nursing leader to oversee and guide these critical areas, ensuring the delivery of exceptional patient care.

Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement departmental goals, plans, and standards in alignment with the organization’s clinical, administrative, legal, and ethical requirements.
  • Operational Management: Direct and evaluate departmental operations, including patient care delivery, information technologies, service level determination, and compliance management.
  • Staff Management: Plan and monitor staffing activities, including hiring, orienting, evaluating, disciplinary actions, and continuing education initiatives.
  • Financial Management: Prepare, monitor, and evaluate departmental budgets, ensuring compliance with allocated funding. Coordinate and direct internal/external audits.
  • Professional Development: Create and foster an environment that encourages professional growth and development among the nursing staff.
  • Evidence-Based Practice: Integrate evidence-based practices into operations and clinical protocols to enhance patient care and outcomes.

Qualifications:

  • Education:
    • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
    • Master’s Degree in Nursing or a related field
  • Experience:
    • 10 years of experience as a Registered Nurse (RN)
    • 5 years of experience as an RN in OB or NICU
    • 5 years of management experience
  • Preferred:
    • Experience managing a unionized workforce
