Requirements:

• Licensure: Respiratory Therapist Certification, Respiratory Care Technician, or Respiratory Care Practitioner license required.

• Certifications:

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) within 60 days of hire.

  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) within 6 months of hire.

  • Neonatal Resuscitation Provider (NRP) within 1 year of hire.

• Skills: Strong clinical knowledge in cardiopulmonary care, effective communication skills, and ability to work in emergent situations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide cardiopulmonary care services under physician orders and department protocols.

• Assess patient conditions, deliver respiratory therapy, and monitor responses to treatment.

• Participate in emergency response situations and deliver appropriate respiratory interventions.

• Educate patients and families regarding illness management and available resources.

• Maintain and prepare respiratory equipment, supplies, and medical gas cylinders.

• Perform preventative maintenance and calibration of respiratory care devices.
