Raidium raises nearly $17M in funding round

Precision radiology startup Raidium has raised 16 million euros ($16.9 million) in a seed funding round led by Newfund and Kurma Partners, which will go toward the company's advanced AI development and expansion.

Founders Future, Galion.exe, Techmind, Debiopharm Corporate Ventures, and the European EIC fund also provided additional support.

Raidium has developed a radiological AI-native foundation model with an embedded intuitive and interactive view to create an imaging biomarker database for clinical practice and research. Raidium intends to accelerate the global rollout of its technology, including opening offices in the U.S. to expand its network of partners and clients, strengthen its European operations, and pursue regulatory approvals. Additionally, Raidium aims to grow its research and development efforts to improve its multimodal capabilities and grow its team. The company added that it will add 25 members across research, development, regulatory affairs, and commercial partnerships.
