Dear AuntMinnie Member,
RSNA 2024 did not disappoint. Whether you were taking in scientific presentations, participating in a myriad of other educational opportunities, or were primarily interested in exploring the Exhibit Halls at McCormick Place, radiology’s premier meeting delivered the goods.
Final registration numbers will be released in a few weeks, but the RSNA said that advance registration numbers were strong and in line with expectations. It anticipates meeting or exceeding 40,000 registrants.
To celebrate AuntMinnie's 25th anniversary, we’re sharing the top 25 most highly viewed articles from the conference in Chicago. Not surprisingly, AI figured prominently on the list.
For example, members were especially keen to view our video interview with Paul Chang, MD, on the Four Horsemen of AI immaturity, as well as consultant Michael J. Cannavo’s entertaining 2024 PACSman Awards. Other popular stories shared how a deep-learning algorithm can improve coronary CT angiography, how AI was successful in replacing a radiologist in a double-reading screening mammography paradigm, and how Eric Topol, MD, views generative AI and the challenges in the way of broader adoption of AI in radiology.
Body composition analysis has been a hot area of research over the last few years. At RSNA 2024, readers were especially interested in the role of MRI in estimating a patient’s risk of Alzheimer’s and in predicting cognitive decline.
Several other video interviews drew attention, including our conversation with Eliot Siegel, MD, on the current state of theranostics and our interview with Steve Holloway of Signify Research on developments in the exhibit halls.
What else is on the list? See below for the Top 25 and also check out our 2024 RSNA RADcast for all of our coverage.
